HFRG Inc.Warehouse Supervisor Full Time, Monday – Friday Warehouse – Columbia, TN Starting Wage approx. $28/hour and non-exempt Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily receiving, storage, and shipping activities at our Columbia warehouse. This position coordinates the work of the warehouse team, maintains inventory accuracy, and ensures that customer orders, inbound and outbound shipments are handled safely, accurately, and on schedule. The successful candidate will be comfortable working both on the warehouse floor and in our computer systems and will communicate effectively with purchasing, customer service, operations, and transportation providers. This position reports to the Operations Project Manager. Primary Responsibilities Plan, assign, and supervise daily receiving, put-away, picking, staging, and shipping activities. Lead, train, and support warehouse employees while maintaining appropriate productivity, attendance, safety, and quality standards. Verify inbound receipts and outbound shipments for accuracy, condition, and proper documentation. Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies, damaged merchandise, inventory variances, and shipping errors. Maintain accurate inventory records using NetSuite and other modern warehouse technology like barcode scanning. Conduct or supervise cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts. Coordinate inbound containers, outbound carriers, delivery schedules, and warehouse priorities. Maintain an orderly warehouse layout and ensure aisles, work areas, and emergency exits remain clean and unobstructed. Enforce safe material-handling practices and company safety procedures. Monitor warehouse performance and provide regular updates to Operations Project Manager. Recommend improvements to warehouse layout, procedures, staffing, and workflow. Perform other warehouse and supervisory duties as needed. Qualifications At least three years of warehouse supervisory or team-lead experience, including both receiving and shipping. Demonstrated ability to organize daily work and lead warehouse employees effectively. Strong computer skills and experience using an ERP or warehouse inventory system; NetSuite experience is preferred. Experience with barcode scanning and inventory-control systems if applicable. Strong attention to detail and the ability to investigate inventory and shipping discrepancies. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Dependable and able to adjust priorities in response to changing delivery and shipping requirements. Experience in furniture, home furnishings, or other large-item distribution is preferred. English/Spanish bilingual ability is preferred. Forklift experience or certification is preferred. Physical and Work Environment Requirements The employee must be able to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. The position regularly requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and working on concrete warehouse floors. The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds when required. The position involves working on and around forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment. Warehouse temperatures may vary, and the work environment may include dust and moderate noise.
