SUMMARY

The Warehouse Supervisor manages the inventory, storage, and distribution of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning parts and equipment. Key duties include leading warehouse staff, tracking inventory accuracy, coordinating with service technicians for job preparation, and maintaining safety standards. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock levels to support warehouse operations.
  • Conduct regular inventory analysis and forecasting to anticipate demand and prevent stockouts.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient inventory flow and storage.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including onsite material deliveries to techs and installers, receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Develop and implement efficient operational procedures to optimize workflow and minimize costs.
  • Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics to ensure targets are met or exceeded.

Equipment and Facility Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Evaluate and recommend warehouse layout improvements to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to deliveries, quality, or pricing.
  • Continuously evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements as needed.

Process Improvement:

  • Streamline procurement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices in procurement and inventory management.
  • Recommend and implement technological solutions to enhance procurement operations.
  • Implement cost-effective procurement strategies to optimize spending and reduce expenses.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.
  • Prepare reports and analytics on procurement activities, costs, and performance metrics. 

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating performance.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 3- 5 years’ experience supervising all aspects of Warehouse Operations in HVAC or related industry
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Proven success in supervising and mentoring team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop and implement best practices, procedures, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills including MS Office
  • Physical Strength: Walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, crawling, stooping, reaching (including overhead), climbing ladders/stairs and lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis. 
  • Environment: Work in varying temperatures including non-climate-controlled areas occasionally with extreme temperatures 
  • Must be available to work a flexible shift, including early mornings and some weekends
