Warehouse Supervisor Kyle, TX. 78640 Company Overview ATX Specialty Foods is a fast-growing, premier producer of high-quality dips and sauces. We serve a diversified portfolio of retail branded, foodservice, and private label offerings. Our team partners with exceptional food companies to deliver full-service operational solutions. We believe great food stems from passion, premium ingredients, and great people. Reporting to: Warehouse Manager Direct Reports: Warehouse Lead(s); Warehouse Associates and Material Handlers (through Lead) Position Summary The Warehouse Supervisor is a hands-on, working supervisor responsible for the overall performance of warehouse shift operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping. This role supervises the Warehouse Lead and, through the Lead, the warehouse associate team, translating the Warehouse Manager's priorities into daily labor plans, work assignments, and measurable results. The Supervisor owns shift-level KPIs (inventory accuracy, on-time shipping, order accuracy, productivity, and safety), manages people processes such as scheduling, attendance, performance coaching, and corrective action, and ensures compliance with food safety, GMP, and OSHA requirements. The position partners closely with Production Planning, Purchasing, Order Entry, Quality, and the Inventory Analyst to keep materials and finished goods flowing on schedule. This is not a desk role: the Supervisor spends the majority of each shift on the floor, operating equipment and performing receiving, picking, counting, and loading alongside the team while directing the work. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who develops people, solves problems at the root cause, and drives continuous improvement in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Core Responsibilities Supervise and actively perform daily warehouse shift activities, including receiving, put-away, storage, cycle counting, order picking, staging, loading, and shipping; work on the floor the majority of each shift, filling in wherever the operation needs coverage. Own the daily ship schedule: ensure every order scheduled for the day ships complete and on time. Proactively identify and resolve shorts with Production Planning and Order Entry before they become missed shipments, and escalate unavoidable misses to the Warehouse Manager. Maintain the shipping, shortage, and pick-planning spreadsheets used to manage daily warehouse activity. Notify Purchasing by email of shorts, damages, and quality issues on inbound receipts. Sign off on all material transfers picked for the pre-weigh team before they are pushed to pre-weigh. Issue count sheets for cycle counts; review results and direct Warehouse Lead recounts as needed. Perform and document daily trailer temperature checks; escalate out-of-range readings to Quality. Directly supervise, coach, and develop the Warehouse Lead; provide guidance and support to associates through the Lead and serve as the next level of escalation for operational and personnel issues. Build daily and weekly labor plans and work assignments aligned to the production schedule, inbound receipts, and customer ship dates; adjust staffing to meet changing priorities. Manage team scheduling, timekeeping approval, attendance, overtime, and PTO coverage. Conduct performance feedback, coaching, and corrective action in partnership with the Warehouse Manager and Human Resources; participate in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of warehouse staff. Own and report shift-level KPIs, including inventory accuracy, order accuracy, on-time shipping, dock-to-stock time, productivity, and safety; lead corrective actions when targets are missed. Oversee the cycle count program with the Inventory Analyst; ensure discrepancies are investigated to root cause and resolved promptly. Ensure accurate and timely ERP/WMS transactions for receipts, transfers, consumption, adjustments, and shipments. Enforce FIFO/FEFO r…
