VALUES: Accountability ~ Integrity ~ Dignity ~ Diversity & Inclusion ~ Ingenuity ~ Opportunity POSITION SUMMARY: To assist the Salvage and Transportation Manager in managing the activities of the Logistic and Salvage Department. The position assists in providing logistical support for all salvage goods, transportation and donations; facilitating the receiving and processing overflow of donated goods and for maximizing the value of such goods and distribution; monitoring and supervising the operation of forklift and other salvage equipment. Standards of Performance and Conduct (each is an essential function): Ensure actions are consistent with Goodwill ethics, policies, procedures, goals and mission. Work collaboratively with management and staff to achieve overall organizational goals. Consistently maintain acceptable level of productivity, ensuring accounts payable/disbursement functions are completed accurately and timely. Punctual and regular in attendance, understanding that time away from work is approved and taken in accordance with established policies. Perform duties in a manner that promotes a team concept and reflects Goodwill’s mission, philosophy, and core values of accountability, integrity, dignity, diversity, ingenuity, excellence, opportunity and responsibility. Work in accordance with Goodwill policies, procedures and generally accepted business practices. Maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of work; comply with privacy and confidentiality policies. Attend required safety training and participate in safety drills and exercises. Safeguard company property, including donated goods. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Position may perform some or all of the duties described below): Responsible to maximize and ensure efficiency of warehouse activities. Assign and supervise Material Handlers as needed and in conjunction with the Warehouse Salvage Operations Manager. Assign and supervise Class-C and/or Class-A Drivers as needed and in conjunction with the Warehouse Salvage Operations Manager Coordinate pickup and delivery of product and supplies to Goodwill Stores. Coordinate and monitor Target Product pickups from Target Stores ensuring compliance with all program practices and procedures. Enforce loss prevention procedures and policies. Assure that all safety guidelines and procedures are strictly adhered to. Supervise all warehouse functions such as receiving donated goods, directing donors to proper location, issuing receipts, unloading/loading, pre-sort, seasonal storage, sort and select merchandise to be sent to each store, etc. Perform all necessary personnel functions as determined by company policies and procedures including record keeping, scheduling, time and attendance, payroll management, disciplinary functions, evaluations and training for all warehouse personnel. Perform and/or supervise housekeeping duties. These duties include but are not limited to, cleaning and maintaining warehouse area. Responsible for coordinating removal of all trash to the landfill.
