Warehouse Supervisor (Dover, OH)

Capital Tire is Looking for a Warehouse Supervisor in our Dover, Ohio location! Capital Tire is a family-owned Tire Distributor that has been in business since 1919! We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to work at our Dover warehouse. The Warehouse Supervisor works alongside the warehouse staff to load/unload product. This is the Lead person staff are able to go to when they are unable to locate product or need assistance. The Supervisor ensures the warehouse staff is completing the job efficiently and effectively while being safe. The Supervisor assists the Warehouse Manager with any warehouse needs. The Supervisor may assist with driver needs as well. The Supervisor defers any issues to the Warehouse Manger. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Works with warehouse staff to load tires onto delivery trucks for outgoing shipments while ensuring product is stacked and secured properly based on orders and routes. Unloads incoming tire shipments to be placed into inventory stock (includes stock orders as well as returns) Oversees Warehouse Associates while out on the dock to ensure employees are being safe while loading/unloading and to ensure work is being completed correctly. Coaches and motivates warehouse staff. The supervisor will be the first point of contact for warehouse staff to ask for assistance when product cannot be located. Uses company inventory system to locate product. Assists with printing pick tickets and invoices while pulling tires for outgoing shipments, both standard routes and transfers. Oversees will calls by pulling tires for orders and printing invoices. Assists Warehouse Manager with organizing and maintaining warehouse. Assists all staff with route issues which could include helping drivers to make adjustments for most efficient routes or supporting sales staff to make changes in point of sale system or any other miscellaneous route needs as necessary. Assists with opening and closing the warehouse when the Warehouse Manager is not available. Ensures quality and safety standards are met by all staff. Assists the Warehouse Manager with quarterly cycle counts for accurate inventory. Reports any issues to the Warehouse Manager for corrective action. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications Required: Ability to communicate accurately and professionally with others Computer skills Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking.
