Company Introduction: G&C Food Distributors is a re-distributor of refrigerated, frozen, and dry food.  We store and deliver more than 4,000 food items to meet the needs of our customers across 27 states and 28 states internationally. Location: Alachua, FL

Pay: $50,000-$70,000 Annually

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 4:30a start time

Job Summary:

 At G&C Foods, we are looking for a responsible, effective and motivating Warehouse Supervisor to joining out warehouse management team! As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work and maximizing productivity of our warehouse while motivating and cultivating our team members. The Warehouse Supervisor will supervise their Team Leaders and all other warehouse personnel to ensure both speed and accuracy of the incoming/outgoing of product and storage. The Warehouse Supervisor will also be a direct liaison between all corresponding departments.

This person will be responsible for:

• Oversee all functions of their departments.
• Time and attendance tracking including PTO.
• Create an inspiring team environment with a culture of open communication by listening to team members’ feedback and resolving any issues or conflicts.
• Set clear team goals, delegate tasks appropriately and Monitor team performance and report on metrics.
• Oversee and perform day-to-day receiving/shipping operations including but not limited to shift reports and emails.
• Motivate team members, recognize high performance and reward accomplishments.
• Distinguish training needs and provide coaching. 
• Encourage creativity and risk-taking.
• Ensure all safety regulations are being met/ followed.
• Check in all paperwork being received/ overview all documentations.
• Consistently assess the receiving/shipping department processes to proactively change and evolve with the needs of the business and team members.
• Plan and coordinate the daily incoming/outgoing shipment plan.
• Inspect and verify incoming/outcoming goods to invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.
• Collaborate with management and warehouse personnel for disciplinary actions and any other concerns in the department such as staffing needs, errors, equipment needs, scheduling and safety.
• Prepare all documentation for employees (ex. Coaching’s, written, suspensions, performance evaluations…) based on recent activities.
• Monitor overtime and schedule accordingly.
• Plan and coordinate the incoming/outgoing of product and storage in a timely and efficient manner to achieve the teams’ goals.
• Overall responsibility for all aspects of the effective supervision, training and development of teams.
• Always Ensuring safe working conditions and practices within the warehouse.
• Operation of a powered industrial truck (PIT). 
• Additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of warehouse procedures. 
• Strong problem-solving and decision making skills.
• Strong leadership skills; train, motivate, direct the work of others.
• Strong organizational skills; attention to detail, meet deadlines and work in a production-driven environment.
• Ability to plan and conduct effective meetings.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5-7 years of warehouse hands on required, mid-level management experience preferred
• Ability to execute reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Knowledge of Excel and Word.
