Warehouse Supervisor
ConfidentialRole Overview The Warehouse Supervisor leads the daily execution of receiving, storage, inventory movement, staging, and shipping activities that support Mana Nutrition's manufacturing operations. The role ensures warehouse work is completed safely, accurately, on time, and in compliance with food safety, quality, and inventory-control requirements. This is a frontline leadership role. The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to be present where the work occurs, set clear priorities, coach employees, solve problems quickly, maintain strong shift-to-shift communication, and protect the accuracy and condition of every material and product handled by the team. Core Responsibilities 1. Daily Warehouse Execution Direct daily receiving, put-away, storage, staging, material issue, replenishment, finished-goods movement, and shipping activities according to operational priorities. Assign work, balance labor and equipment, monitor progress, and adjust priorities to support production and shipping requirements. Coordinate closely with Production, Quality/Food Safety, Procurement, Planning, Maintenance, and other teams to prevent material-flow disruptions. Ensure loading docks, aisles, storage areas, staging locations, and work zones remain organized, accessible, and ready for safe operation. Lead effective shift startup, handoff, and end-of-shift communication so priorities, shortages, holds, and unresolved issues are clearly transferred. 2. Inventory Accuracy & Material Control Ensure inventory movements are transacted accurately and promptly in the applicable ERP/WMS or inventory system. Maintain location accuracy, lot traceability, material identification, status control, FIFO/FEFO practices as applicable, and proper segregation of materials. Execute cycle counts and physical inventory activities; investigate variances and correct root causes rather than relying only on adjustments. Verify received and shipped quantities, documentation, condition, and material status before completion of transactions. Escalate shortages, damaged materials, nonconforming product, transaction errors, and recurring inventory issues promptly. 3. Team Leadership, Safety & Performance Supervise, coach, train, and hold warehouse employees accountable for safety, food safety, accuracy, productivity, attendance, teamwork, and conduct. Ensure employees are trained and qualified for assigned tasks and material-handling equipment before working independently. Conduct daily safety and performance communication, reinforce standard work, and address unsafe or ineffective practices immediately. Monitor warehouse performance measures and use them to drive practical improvements in service, accuracy, productivity, damage, and housekeeping. Partner with the Procurement & Warehouse Manager and Human Resources on staffing, development, performance concerns, and employee relations as appropriate. 4. Equipment, Housekeeping & Continuous Improvement Ensure forklifts, pallet jacks, dock equipment, scanners, and other warehouse tools are inspected, used correctly, and reported for repair when needed. Maintain high standards for housekeeping, sanitation, pest prevention, spill response, and storage-area condition. Identify workflow, layout, storage, labeling, or system problems and recommend practical improvements. Support implementation of standard work, visual controls, warehouse projects, and corrective actions. Respond with urgency to operational problems while using sound judgment and escalating issues that require additional support. 5. Food Safety Responsibilities Follow and enforce all applicable food safety, GMP, sanitation, allergen-control, traceability, and warehouse material-handling requirements. Maintain proper identification, segregation, storage, rotation, and traceability of ingredients, packaging, finished goods, allergens, holds, and nonconforming materials.
