Warehouse Supervisor – Bilingual Mandarin & English

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to support and oversee the daily operations of our warehouse in Buffalo, New York. This position is responsible for coordinating daily warehouse activities, supervising warehouse staff, managing receiving and outbound operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring that orders are processed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate has hands-on warehouse experience, strong organizational and leadership skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required for this position due to frequent communication with Mandarin-speaking customers, overseas teams, and internal operations staff. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations and warehouse staff Organize receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and outbound activities Monitor daily workloads and assign tasks to warehouse employees Ensure orders are processed accurately and on schedule Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, and shipment issues Monitor warehouse organization, cleanliness, and operational efficiency Ensure employees follow warehouse safety procedures and company policies Train and support warehouse employees on operational procedures Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, drivers, customers, and internal teams Communicate regularly with the company's Canadian headquarters and other operational teams Communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers and overseas teams regarding warehouse operations, inventory, and shipment status Assist management with warehouse performance, staffing, and operational reporting Identify operational issues and recommend improvements to warehouse processes Perform other warehouse and operational duties as required Qualifications Previous warehouse, logistics, distribution, or 3PL experience required Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Lead, Assistant Supervisor, or similar leadership role preferred Fluent or professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese required Ability to communicate effectively in English in a warehouse and business environment Experience supervising or coordinating warehouse employees preferred Familiarity with receiving, shipping, inventory control, and warehouse procedures Experience using WMS, inventory management systems, or warehouse software is preferred Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently Strong attention to detail Basic computer skills, including email, Excel, and warehouse systems Ability to perform physical warehouse duties when operational support is required Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Preferred Experience 3PL or e-commerce fulfillment experience Cross-border logistics experience Amazon FBA warehouse or fulfillment experience Inventory management experience Forklift experience or certification Experience working with Chinese or international customers and operations teams Schedule Full-time Monday to Friday Additional hours may occasionally be required depending on warehouse volume and operational needs About the Role This is a hands-on supervisory position. The Warehouse Supervisor will work closely with warehouse employees while also coordinating with management, customers, carriers, and other company locations.
