Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary The Warehouse Supervisor provides strategic leadership and end-to-end operational oversight for all warehouse activities. This role is responsible for directing personnel, optimizing inventory movement and storage, maintaining facilities and security standards, and ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Responsibilities Team Leadership & Supervision Personnel Management: Supervise, train, and guide warehouse staff to optimize workflow and team productivity. Order Management & Logistics Operations Order Distribution: Assign and distribute picking orders to staff to ensure accurate, timely fulfillment. Inbound & Outbound Logistics: Oversee the loading of outbound orders onto transport trucks and ensure inbound shipping containers are unloaded promptly. Verification & Quality Control: Perform order validation, review accuracy prior to shipment, and ensure proper labeling and product location assignment. Inventory Control & System Data Entry System Logging: Ensure accurate data entry into the computer system for all inbound shipments and internal product movements. Product Knowledge: Maintain expert familiarity with all company product lines and customer specifications. Facility Maintenance, Safety & Security Inspections & Housekeeping: Perform daily inspections of pallets and containers to identify damaged, broken, or leaking materials. Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and safe. Facility Security: Maintain complete physical security across the warehouse interior, exterior loading docks, and adjacent parking. QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES Education & Experience Education: Associate degree from an accredited two-year college or technical school, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: 6+ years of progressive leadership and operational experience in warehouse management, logistics, or distribution. Experience: 1+years of Forklift operator Core Technical & Practical Skills Software Proficiency: Proficient with warehouse systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate procedures, write routine reports, and interact professionally with customers. Mathematical Reasoning: Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals) for inventory tracking and unit conversion. Problem-Solving: Strong critical-thinking skills to resolve operational issues and manage multiple concrete variables in standard situations. Task Prioritization: Define operational priorities and communicate daily work goals to team members clearly. Attendance Tracking: Monitor employee attendance and generate/submit regular absenteeism reports to executive management.
