Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor Job ID: XX Location: Orange, CA Department: Supply Chain Reports To: Supply Chain Manager Job Type: Full Time Compensation : $25 - $32 per hour Summary: As our Warehouse Supervisor, oversees all daily activities within the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, and production support for a manufacturing environment specializing in connectors and small cable assemblies. This role supervises the Shipping and Warehouse teams, ensuring the warehouse operates safely and efficiently. Leadership & Core Responsibilities Supervise, train, and coach team members in Shipping, and Warehouse/Inventory functions. Prioritize daily workload, delegate tasks, and ensure clear communication across teams. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support employee development. Ensure staffing levels support operational needs. Oversee receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping of materials and finished goods. Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and reconciliation activities. Ensure proper storage and handling of materials, including connectors, cable assemblies, and components. Implement and sustain 5S, lean practices, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure customer shipments are processed on time and according to quality requirements. Coordinate freight scheduling, including small parcel and LTL carriers. Maintain compliance with shipping documentation and export/import requirements including ITAR, when applicable. Maintain a safe working environment and enforce OSHA and company safety protocols. Ensure proper handling of sensitive materials and adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., ITAR, ISO standards). Utilize ERP, MRP, and inventory management systems to maintain accurate data. Monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy, on-time shipments, purchase order delivery performance, and warehouse productivity. Prepare and present reports on warehouse and supply chain performance as required. Track team performance metrics such as picking accuracy, order turnaround time, and on-time shipment. Position Requirements Education & Technical Qualifications Experience: 3–4 years of warehouse or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment required 1–2 years of supervisory or team-lead experience Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems Strong understanding of inventory management, material flow, and shipping processes Ability to interpret production schedules and material requirements. Experience in electronics, connectors, cable assemblies, or similar industries preferred Forklift certification preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment Certifications & Competencies Systems Proficiency: Advanced ERP/MRP proficiency (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Syspro) and advanced MS Excel or BI tools (Power Query, Power BI). Core Competencies: Lean, Kanban, JIT, Theory of Constraints, data-backed decision-making, and strong interpersonal skills.
