Warehouse Supervisor

Job Title: Warehouse Cable Supervisor Position Summary: The Warehouse Cable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations related to telecommunications materials, including fiber optic cable, coaxial cable, conduit, drop materials, equipment, tools, and inventory. This position ensures accurate inventory control, efficient material distribution, warehouse safety, and support for field installation and construction crews. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise daily warehouse operations and warehouse personnel. Manage receiving, storing, and distributing telecommunications materials and equipment. Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems. Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy. Coordinate material staging and loading for installation, construction, and service crews. Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Track and manage fiber optic cable, coax cable, underground boring materials, drops, pedestals, handholes, and related telecom supplies. Monitor material usage and reorder stock as necessary. Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company policies and safety regulations. Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment. Train, coach, and evaluate warehouse staff performance. Coordinate the return, repair, and disposal of damaged equipment and materials. Assist management with budgeting, inventory forecasting, and operational planning. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Support fleet and equipment tracking as needed. Generate inventory and operational reports for management. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred. 3+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in telecommunications, fiber optic, cable TV, or utility construction. 1+ years of supervisory or leadership experience. Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse procedures. Experience with fiber optic, coaxial cable, telecommunications materials, and construction supplies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience using inventory management software. Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Ability to work in a warehouse environment and outdoors when necessary. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
