Responsibilities Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling to ensure smooth operations. Lead and motivate warehouse staff by providing clear direction, managerial communication, and ongoing team management to meet operational goals. Oversee the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed in accordance with OSHA standards. Implement process improvements using lean management principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline distribution center operations. Maintain accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts and inventory management systems to prevent discrepancies and support effective logistics planning. Coordinate with logistics teams to optimize warehouse distribution strategies and improve overall warehouse management system performance. Enforce safety policies related to heavy lifting, materials handling, and equipment operation to create a safe working environment for all team members. Skills Proven experience in warehouse supervision with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and distribution center workflows. Proficiency in inventory management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and warehouse management systems (WMS). Skilled in process improvement techniques such as lean management to enhance operational efficiency. Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts safely and effectively; certification preferred. Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams through effective communication and motivation. Strong knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, logistics coordination, and inventory control practices.
