Warehouse Supervisor
ConfidentialJob Overview S&S Truck Parts, LLC is seeking an experienced and hands-on Second Shift Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations during our second shift at our Crown Point, Indiana facility. This position is responsible for leading warehouse employees, ensuring productivity and accuracy, maintaining a safe work environment, and making sure customer orders are processed and shipped efficiently and on time. The Second Shift Supervisor will provide direct leadership to warehouse associates and serve as the primary management presence during the 3:30pm-12:00am shift. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, the ability to hold employees accountable to established expectations, and the ability to effectively communicate with both employees and management. Duties Supervise second-shift warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment Lead and motivate warehouse staff to achieve operational excellence through effective team management and managerial communication Monitor workflow throughout the shift and adjust staffing and priorities as needed to meet operational demands. Monitor employee productivity, attendance, work quality, and adherence to established warehouse procedures. Ensure warehouse employees are properly trained and cross-trained to support operational needs. Enforce company safety policies, PPE requirements, and safe equipment operating practices. Assist with resolving operational issues, inventory discrepancies, and workflow challenges. Conduct routine warehouse walkthroughs to identify operational, housekeeping, and safety concerns. Experience Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar warehouse management role within distribution centers or e-commerce environments High school diploma or equivalent required. 2-4 years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or related supervisory experience preferred. Previous experience supervising hourly warehouse employees strongly preferred. Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment. Strong leadership and employee-management skills. Ability to effectively coach employees and address performance issues. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Working knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and/or inventory systems preferred. Forklift/PIV experience or knowledge preferred.
