Warehouse Supervisor
ConfidentialJob Summary: The Warehouse Supervisor leads and oversees all warehouse operations within a refinery environment. This role is responsible for managing inventory, supervising warehouse staff, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and supporting refinery operations through efficient material handling and logistics. Essential Functions: Warehouse Operations Management Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping of materials and equipment. Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in accordance with refinery standards. Develop and implement warehouse procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and safety. Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of materials. Responsible for developing project timelines, regularly communicating progress, and driving projects through to completion. Inventory Control Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems (Maximo and Acumatica). Conduct regular cycle counts and complete physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies. Monitor stock levels and reorder points to prevent shortages or excess inventory. Analyze inventory data to identify trends and optimize space utilization. Team Leadership Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff; promote a culture of safety and accountability. Schedule shifts and assign tasks to ensure coverage and productivity. Provide coaching and support to team members to meet performance goals. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment. Prepare for and support internal and external audits and inspections. Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage all warehouse staff Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field preferred, or 5+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in a refinery or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, and safety regulations. Proficiency in ERP systems (Maximo and Acumatica) and Microsoft Office Suite. Forklift certification and familiarity with PPE and hazardous material handling. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Physical Requirements: Must be able to pass a physical test of pushing, pulling, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs Must be able to manipulate various hand tools May be required to drive forklift for extended periods, operate pallet jack and use hand trucks or tools Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Prolonged periods of standing and walking Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time Requires frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring equipment and materials Other duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
