Warehouse Supervisor

ROLE OVERVIEW deux par deux is a Montreal-based premium children's apparel and outerwear brand, selling in Canada, the United States and overseas. We run our own warehouse, right next to our offices, and every web, wholesale and marketplace order goes through it. We are looking for a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to run the warehouse day to day: lead the team on the floor, keep product moving smoothly from receiving to shipping, and make sure every order goes out on time, accurately and in a way that lives up to the brand. Reporting to the Operations Manager (to the CEO in the interim), you will lead the warehouse team and work closely with our returns coordinator, customer service, e-commerce, wholesale and production teams. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position in Montreal. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Team leadership Supervise, schedule and train the warehouse team; set clear daily priorities and follow up on performance. Lead by example on the floor, especially during peak periods (Black Friday, holidays, back to school, outerwear season). Take part in hiring warehouse staff, including seasonal help. 2. Order fulfillment Oversee picking, packing and shipping of B2C web, wholesale and marketplace orders, making sure orders ship on time and without errors. Manage daily priorities in ShipHero: order queues, rush orders, backorders, issues. Work with carriers on pickups. Make sure packaging and presentation meet brand standards. 3. Receiving and inventory Plan and oversee receiving: incoming shipments, quantity and quality checks, labelling and put-away. Make sure every product is scanned and assigned a location in ShipHero, so inventory in the system matches what is on the shelves. Keep pick locations replenished from reserve stock to avoid out-of-stocks on the website. Organize cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies between the warehouse, ShipHero, Shopify and our ERP. 4. Space and processes Optimize the use of space: layout, storage, locations, and making room as collections and seasons change. Document warehouse procedures and continuously improve them to work faster and with fewer errors. Support the returns coordinator so returned products are inspected and back in stock quickly. 5. Health and safety Enforce health and safety rules, keep the warehouse clean and organized, and run regular safety checks. Make sure equipment is used safely and properly maintained. 6. Reporting Track key warehouse metrics (orders shipped, shipping times, errors, receiving, inventory accuracy) and share a weekly update with management. Use Excel or Google Sheets and AI tools to build simple reports and speed up recurring tasks. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 3+ years of experience in a warehouse or distribution centre, including at least 1–2 years supervising a team. Experience in e-commerce fulfillment (ideally apparel or consumer goods). Hands-on experience with a warehouse management system (WMS); ShipHero is a strong asset. Very organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment. A natural leader who is respected on the floor and communicates clearly. Bilingual (French and English). Able to stand for long periods and lift boxes up to 50 lb (23 kg). Nice to have Experience with ShipHero, Shopify or an ERP. Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets and open to using AI tools day to day.
