Warehouse Supervisor - 5:00am-4:00pm

Ideal Supply is looking for a dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to become the newest member of our team located in Jersey City, New Jersey. Founded in 1930, Ideal Supply Co. provides top quality pipes, valves, fittings, plumbing supplies and accessories to plumbers and mechanical contractors in Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, Brooklyn, Bronx, Rockland, and Orange County, New York and most of New Jersey. Our new fabrication facility and 45,000 SF warehouse provides our customers with the inventory of products and customization needed to ensure that projects remain on track. The Warehouse Supervisor is a working supervisory position responsible for, but not limited to, daily operations including the supervision of personnel. This position is responsible for safety, quality and performance, including: inventory management; space management; receiving; picking/pulling for customer orders; and loading trucks for customer product delivery. Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities Supervise and manage the daily activity of warehouse employees operating 5 days per week, Monday-Friday, including: scheduling, daily work assignments, training, performance management, vacation/timesheet approval, etc .• Manages all warehouse activities/operations. Manages the warehouse ensuring the receipt, coordination, inventory, fabrication, documentation management and safety of products coming through a warehouse. • Manages the fabrication of pipe, cutting and threading pipe per customer specifications. • Manages/oversees the loading of trucks for delivery to the company expectation that the majority of all customer orders/trucks are loaded by the end of the workday the day prior to delivery. • Maintains physical condition of warehouse with a focus on creating continuous efficiencies in design and layout; inspecting equipment; identifying repair and replacement needs; keeping the Pipe Shop clean by daily discarding of boxes/pallets and shipping materials and prompt stocking/restocking of products • Ensure customers orders are fulfilled quickly/accurately and in accordance with customer requirements and to company expectations. • Provide a safe, controlled and clean Pipe Shop/work environment. • Effectively contribute to and maintain a positive work environment at Ideal Supply and foster collaboration across departments and company functions.• Other duties as needed.
