Role and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our high-performance culture and help oversee daily warehouse operations. You will ensure safety and productivity are prioritized while leading a team to meet client needs. This is a key leadership role that will prepare you for further career advancement with Capstone Logistics.
• Negotiate rates with common carrier representatives to optimize logistics costs.
• Run daily warehouse operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and high productivity.
• Write and balance daily bank deposits, ensuring accuracy in all financial activities.
• Create daily work logs and transmit them to corporate as required.
• Audit daily labor and billing reports to ensure operational accuracy.
• Ensure customer needs are met consistently, with a focus on service excellence.
• Document and resolve any customer service or associate issues promptly.
• Ensure all associates adhere to Capstone's policies and safety guidelines.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings with active associate participation.
• Assist in managing site and departmental budgets, including labor and resource allocation.
• Schedule associate shifts based on customer demands and operational needs.
• Interview, hire, and train new associates, ensuring team growth and development.
• Supervise accurate and timely data entry for all services performed.
• Complete daily closeout tasks including cash balancing, data upload, and payroll administration.
Required Skills and Experience:
• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Proven ability to provide high levels of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in training, coaching, and mentoring associates.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with budget management and reading/interpreting P&L statements.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain management is a plus.
• BS/BA Degree or Associate Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
• Previous experience managing budgets and creating management reports.
• Ability to estimate rates and perform basic arithmetic under pressure while multitasking.
