MacLean Power SystemsJob SummaryResponsible for supervising hourly employees in a manufacturing warehouse environment, ensuring efficient operations, compliance with regulations, and adherence to safety and quality standards.Job DutiesSupervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities to meet production and delivery schedulesLead, assign, and monitor work for a team of hourly employees, ensuring productivity goals and performance standards are consistently metTrain, coach, and develop team members on warehouse procedures, safety practices, and company policies; provide ongoing feedback and performance evaluationsPlan and adjust staffing levels based on workload, production schedules, and operational demandsEnsure accurate inventory management by conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining proper system recordsInvestigate inventory variances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issuesMonitor workflow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processesEnforce compliance with OSHA, company safety standards, and environmental regulations; conduct safety audits and lead corrective actions when neededMaintain adherence to 5S and lean manufacturing principles to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workspaceCollaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, quality, and logistics to ensure seamless operations and timely material flowPrepare and maintain reports on productivity, inventory accuracy, safety incidents, and overall warehouse performanceUtilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software tools to track inventory, labor, and operational metricsAddress employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and handle disciplinary actions in accordance with company policiesEnsure proper handling, storage, and transportation of materials to prevent damage or lossSupport continuous improvement initiatives and participate in process optimization projectsEnsure all documentation (shipping records, inventory logs, compliance forms, etc.) is completed accurately and on timeExperience and EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of warehouse operations, policies, and proceduresProven ability to lead, direct, and develop employeesExperience with personnel decisions including hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actionsCompetencies/ SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsTeam leadership and collaborationSound decision-making abilityAnalytical and problem-solving skillsProject and time managementPlanning and organizational skills
