Job Duties & Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and deliveries. Provide day-to-day directions, training, coaching, and support to warehouse personnel. Promote safe work practices and serve as a safety liaison between warehouse personnel and management. Greet and assist customers, including providing support in the retail store as needed. Prepare and complete customer orders, including loading and unloading products. Make deliveries to farms, private residences, businesses, and other customer locations. Safely operate company vehicles and equipment, including delivery trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment. Verify incoming freight against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies. Maintain product stock and ensure warehouse areas remain organized, clean, and safe. Assemble products and displays as needed. Safely dispense propane and/or kerosene. Inspect equipment and complete routine preventive maintenance as assigned. Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills. Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships. Practice punctual and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license (or 18 years of age with a valid commercial driver’s license) to operate a commercial motor vehicle (10,001 lbs. GVWR). Maintain a safe and insurable driving record. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate when required for the operation of a commercial motor vehicle. Maintain a safe and insurable driving record. Must be propane certified within the first 30 days of employment. Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment. Demonstrated ability to lead, train, coach and provide direction to personnel. Commitment to excellence and high standards, especially in providing outstanding customer service. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, stoop and kneel. Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull, load and unload up to 60 pounds. Professional appearance and demeanor. Proven track record of being dependable and reliable. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office. Demonstrate strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous supervisory, lead or team leadership experience. Experience working in a warehouse and/or retail setting Product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, lawn & garden or wild bird supplies Experience safely dispensing propane and operating pallet jacks, forklifts and similar material-handling equipment.
