Warehouse Supervisor

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse operations with energy and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee daily distribution center activities, ensuring efficient inventory control, process improvements, and seamless logistics coordination. Your leadership will drive team performance, uphold safety standards, and optimize warehouse workflows to meet organizational goals. Responsibilities Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling to ensure smooth operations. Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing clear managerial communication and support to enhance productivity and morale. Oversee the operation of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, RF scanners, and AS400 platforms for accurate stock control. Implement process improvements utilizing lean management principles to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline distribution center operations. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and promote a safe working environment through regular training and safety audits. Coordinate logistics activities with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and internal departments to optimize shipping & receiving processes. Operate or supervise the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper training and certification are maintained for heavy lifting tasks. Manage inventory levels accurately through regular cycle counts and audits, utilizing inventory control techniques to prevent stock discrepancies. Support e-commerce fulfillment processes by managing order accuracy and timely dispatches in a high-volume environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar warehouse management role with demonstrated team leadership skills. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including distribution center workflows, shipping & receiving, inventory control, and materials handling. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, RF scanners, and AS400 is essential. Mechanical knowledge related to material handling equipment operation such as forklifts is highly desirable; certification preferred. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced setting. Experience implementing process improvements using lean management techniques is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mechanical equipment as needed. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols relevant to warehouse environments.
