Warehouse Supervisor

General Description: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for directing warehousing activities in a fast paced, high volume distribution center.  Additionally, this role is responsible for providing management coverage for the Warehouse Manager.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists in the implementation of processes for all warehouse activities to include Shipping, Verifying, Returns, Inventory and Facility Maintenance; ensures all work is performed in accordance to standard operating procedures
• Demonstrates collaborative approach in assisting team members as needed which includes performing all roles within the warehouse as needed
• Handles opening and closing responsibilities for the warehouse
• Manages escalated customer issues, providing timely resolutions 
• Responsible for addressing and resolving employee issues; updates Warehouse Manager on issues/resolutions 
• Contributes to building a positive team environment, inspiring and motivating employees to perform at optimum levels
• Identifies ways to improve quality within the center
• Works within approved budget; develops and implements cost saving measures
• Assists with documentation and enforces sanitation/maintenance programs
• Follows all OSHA guidelines, policies and safety regulations, inspecting the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment; updates Warehouse Manager accordingly 
• Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position
• Additional duties as needed 

Position Requirements:

• HS diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred 
• 5+ years of experience in a fast paced warehouse environment; 2+ years of supervisory experience within a warehouse environment preferred
• Able to stand on feet the entire working day
• Able to bend, crouch and reach as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Clear written and oral communication skills 
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong customer service mentality
• Flexible with schedule based on the needs of the business
