AGS LogisticsAbout the Role We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations within a fast-paced freight forwarding environment . This role is responsible for overseeing the receiving, handling, staging, storage, and release of domestic and international freight while ensuring shipments are processed accurately, safely, and in accordance with customer, carrier, and regulatory requirements. The Warehouse Supervisor will lead warehouse personnel while working closely with freight forwarding operations, transportation providers, airlines, carriers, customs teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless movement of air, ocean, and ground freight . The ideal candidate combines strong warehouse leadership experience with a solid understanding of international freight forwarding and transportation operations. What You’ll Do Supervise daily warehouse activities related to the receiving, handling, staging, storage, and release of import and export freight. Assign daily workloads and provide hands-on direction to warehouse employees based on shipment priorities and operational requirements. Coordinate closely with freight forwarding, transportation, customs, and operations teams to support timely movement of international and domestic shipments. Maintain effective communication with carriers, airlines, trucking providers, suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders. Monitor inbound and outbound freight to ensure shipments are processed accurately and within required service timelines. Manage operational disruptions and escalations that could impact shipment movement or the supply chain. Monitor warehouse and transportation KPIs and implement corrective actions when performance expectations are not achieved. Ensure compliance with established SOPs, safety requirements, security procedures, and applicable transportation regulations. Monitor carrier and supplier performance and address service or compliance issues as needed. Ensure quality metrics are achieved, including on-time performance, data accuracy, shipment accuracy, and timely processing. Support accurate shipment documentation and coordination for import and export freight. Train, coach, and provide ongoing performance feedback to warehouse employees. Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, freight flow, productivity, and service quality. Support operational changes, customer requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or additional education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of warehouse operations experience, preferably within freight forwarding or international logistics. Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in warehouse, freight forwarding, transportation, or supply chain operations. Strong understanding of freight forwarding and international transportation, including air, ocean, and ground freight. Experience supporting import and export shipments and coordinating with carriers, trucking providers, and freight operations teams. Knowledge of warehouse safety, security, and transportation compliance requirements. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and/or freight forwarding systems. Experience with CargoWise or a similar freight forwarding platform is a plus. Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive shipments and shifting operational priorities. Strong leadership skills with experience assigning workloads, coaching employees, and driving accountability. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions. Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills. E-commerce logistics experience is a plus. Multilingual capabilities are a plus. Must be able to work nights and weekends.
