Warehouse Specialists:
Performs functions to assist the MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority) Warehousing & Logistics Support contract.
Responsibilities:
Shall perform a variety of warehousing duties, to include, but not limited to the following:
- Understanding of warehouse storage plans and warehouse operations
- Perform Picking and Put Aways at 98% accuracy as assigned
- Perform daily cycle counts at a 98% accuracy rate as assigned
Verifying materials against receiving, shipping, storage and inventory documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damage
- Routing materials to prescribed storage, freight forward and/or shipping locations
- Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods
- Managing and taking inventory of received, shipped and/or stored materials daily
- Examine stored materials and report deterioration and damage
- Removing material from storage/receipt areas and preparing it for shipment
- Process and/or affix, receipt, shipment, storage, pick/pack and other paperwork and reports as required
- Provide causative research for misidentified, damaged, non-located material as required
- Operates hand or power trucks and/or forklift in pe1forming warehousing duties
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Forklift License
- Driver's License
