Technica is seeking to hire a Lead Warehouse Specialist, with handling Hazmat and Classified materials, to support the DLA Distribution Center in Jacksonville. The Warehouse Specialist Lead HAZMAT overseeing the safe and efficient handling, storage, and shipping of hazardous materials within the warehouse. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a team, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and maintain accurate inventory records. The Lead will also be involved in training staff, conducting inspections, and potentially operating specialized equipment like forklifts and other material handling equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of warehouse personnel, providing training on proper handling procedures for hazardous materials, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations. Ensure the safe receipt, storage, and shipment of hazardous materials, including proper labeling, packaging, and documentation. Maintain accurate records of hazardous materials inventory, including tracking quantities, locations, and any associated documentation. Conduct regular safety inspections of the warehouse, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment. Coordinate the receipt and shipment of hazardous materials, ensure proper packaging, documentation, and compliance with transportation regulations. Operate specialized equipment like forklifts, material handling equipment, and other tools required for handling hazardous materials. Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports related to hazardous materials, inventory, and safety procedures. Effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments regarding hazardous material management, safety procedures, and any issues or concerns. Qualifications: High school diploma HAZMAT Certification Ability to lead and motivate a team, provide guidance, and ensure accountability. In-depth knowledge of hazardous material handling regulations, safety procedures, and best practices. Ability to maintain accurate inventory records, track materials, and manage stock levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders. Ability to identify and resolve issues related to hazardous material handling, safety, and inventory management. Experience operating forklifts, material handling equipment, and other relevant tools. Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and compliance requirements for handling hazardous materials. Ability to perform tasks that may require physical exertion, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
