Laramie County School District #1TSS/260 day contract Monday-Friday 8 hours daily Pay Column K: $18.96/hourly + Benefits JOB DESCRIPTION Laramie County School District #1 Warehouse Specialist Purpose Statement The job of Warehouse Specialist is responsible for supporting the overall operation of the Central Warehouse to include, but not limited to oversight and coordination of workflow and activities of the department. Efficiently expedite shipping and receiving, verifying stock and identifying losses of all materials and supplies for Laramie County School District #1. This job reports to Warehouse, Graphics, and Mailroom Supervisor Essential Functions Responsible for unloading all incoming freight and inspecting each received item for any possible damage and notes any discrepancies or reject damaged items. Verify information against invoices, packing slips, bills of lading or other records. Contacts vendors about discrepancies (e.g. overages, shortages, duplicate deliveries and damage) for the purpose of correcting errors and or returning damaged or incorrect items following the proper shipping packages guidelines. Responsible for electronically receiving and verifying all Purchase Orders made by the Purchasing Department for the purpose of maintaining quality products for the staff and students of the District. Conducts physical inventory and cycle counts in accordance with established standards and procedures for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses. Use internal tracking software (FROG) and UPS software to process outbound packages. Drives vehicles for the purpose of transporting orders and material to designated sites. Assists with sealed bid auctions, Public Surplus sales, and in person surplus sales. Maintains records and documentations for all items received or shipped from the Central Warehouse. Ensure timely processing and accurate fulfillment of customers orders using district technology systems. Coordinate bulk, express and external deliveries with warehouse and driver team members. Support the management of districts fixed assets including but not limited to creating and affixing asset tags, recording assets received and disbursed as well as physical inventory check of assets. Using the districts asset tracking system to ensure inventory database is up to date and accurate. Assumes all duties of warehouse Manager during their absence, which includes responsibility for the warehouse budget and Material Requirement Planning. Manages all incoming e-waste on internal software. Provides proper documentation for disposal. Manages district surplus, salvage, recycle and/or discard material for transfer within the district and items staged for auction. Performs any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Other Functions Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functions of the work unit. Job Requirements : Minimum Qualifications Must be certified forklift operator or become certified within 90 days after entering position. Trained in Material Requirement Planning. Experience in operation warehouse equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, delivery truck with lift gate and/or equipment trailer, etc.). Specialized computer training or experience in Inventory Control Systems, receiving, word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of UPS, RPS, Mail, and Freight industry regulations and procedures. Must have satisfactory driving record secured through the Wyoming Transportation Department and maintain insurability. Alternatives to the above qualifications as found acceptable and appropriate to the District. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities SKILLS are required to perform single, technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
