Warehouse Specialist - Decatur, GA

Job Overview As a Warehouse Specialist in Decatur, GA, you’ll keep warehouse operations moving by receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials accurately and safely. You’ll use warehouse management systems and equipment to support inventory control, warehouse distribution, and order fulfillment. This hands-on role suits someone who works carefully, follows safety regulations, and enjoys a fast-paced logistics environment. Duties Receive, inspect, load, and unload shipments; verify items and update inventory records using an inventory management system, warehouse management system, or AS400. Pick, pack, stock, and prepare orders for shipment using an RF scanner and established procedures. Operate forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material handling equipment as authorized. Follow safety protocols, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and apply safe manual handling practices when lifting or moving materials. Maintain organized storage areas and support accurate inventory management and warehouse distribution. Your impact: Accurate handling and inventory records help coworkers locate materials quickly and ensure orders move reliably to their destinations. Qualifications Warehouse experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, picking and packing, or order fulfillment is preferred; warehouse supervisor experience is a plus. Demonstrated ability to operate relevant material handling equipment and perform materials handling, including heavy lifting, safely. Basic math skills and technical proficiency to use RF scanners and inventory management software; familiarity with AS400 is helpful. Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidance and safety regulations, with consistent safety protocol adherence. Able to follow instructions, maintain accuracy, and work effectively in a warehouse distribution and logistics setting.
