Warehouse Specialist
The Furniture OutletSUMMARY The Warehouse Specialist will serve as a point of contact with the customer and The Furniture Outlet, so a guest-focused mind set is required. The Warehouse Specialist should be proactive and have the ability to problem solve and organize strategically. The Warehouse Specialist will assist the team in pulling, building, inspecting furniture, and staging for delivery. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Ensure the success of every delivery Ensure the truck and work area are well organized and maintained Receiving, loading and unloading shipments to warehouse Work with 3rd party delivery company Assist with Floor Models in Showroom or Adjustments as needed Assist with inventory Build Furniture Inspect Furniture Ability to multi-task and problem solve issues in the field Work with sales and service personnel as needed to maintain satisfied guests Work with leadership on various tasks and responsibilities that may arise Review timeliness for scheduled deliveries. Make suggestions for productivity improvements Determine and track most important warehouse KPIs Ensure that facility equipment is properly maintained Communicate and collaborate with other team members EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED: Good communication and interpersonal skills Minimum high school diploma Active Driver License Preferred Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must be at least 18 years of age Position routinely requires lifting, loading, and using a dolly for merchandise 50-300 pounds Professional and neat appearance No experience required, but helpful KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (This is not an all-inclusive list but is intended to give an overview of the requirements of the position. Must be ready, willing, and able to workday, evening, weekends and holidays without any scheduling restrictions. Flexibility to work all shifts is required.
