Position Summary: The Warehouse Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining efficient, accurate, and safe warehouse operations. This position is responsible for operating sit-down forklifts, utilizing RF handheld devices, and supporting all warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling. Successful candidates will be cross-trained across multiple warehouse functions and work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate sit-down forklifts to load, unload, move, and store materials. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers using forklifts and pallet jacks. Navigate warehouse aisles and storage areas while following all safety procedures. Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns. Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory. Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments. Prepare outbound shipments through proper labeling, staging, and documentation. Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies. Execute inventory control and warehouse data entry functions through handheld and computer systems. Support order picking, packing, replenishment, and returns processing. Follow proper product storage and stacking procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Comply with all company policies, OSHA regulations, TSA requirements, and Customs security procedures. Participate in cross-training opportunities to support operational flexibility. Work overtime and weekends as required by business needs. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. One (1) to five (5) years of warehouse experience preferred. Forklift certification required. Experience operating RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Dependable with a strong work ethic and attendance record. Skills: Forklift operation and material handling. Inventory management and cycle counting. RF scanner proficiency. Data entry and documentation accuracy. Safety awareness and compliance. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Teamwork and adaptability. Problem-solving and attention to detail. PPE Requirements: Steel-toe boots required. Additional PPE will be provided by BWT Logistics as needed for the work environment. Compensation and Benefits: Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour. Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage after 90 days. Time Off: Paid holidays and PTO available after 90 days. PPE: Steel-toe boots required.
