Warehouse Specialist

SPL has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Warehouse Specialist. Our Warehouse Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of materials to support daily business operations. This hands-on role combines order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and data entry responsibilities, requiring strong attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Job Responsibilities: Obtains merchandise from warehouse shelves to fill orders for non-stock items or special orders, carefully verifying identifying information and quantities. Places items in containers and wraps so that the invoice is visible. Adheres to established work schedules in a consistently reliable manner and performs job responsibilities and delivers work products on a dependable and timely basis Compares identifying information and quantities on the packing slip against the purchase order, counts items for verification, and indicates any discrepancies. Enters purchase orders via computer to generate shipping tickets. Sends return shipments to manufacturers for repairs. Prepares outbound shipments by accurately matching sales orders to shipping documentation and attaching labels and paperwork to packages for timely and accurate delivery. Enters other incoming shipments into a computerized system. Job Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent. 1 year of experience in a warehouse, shipping, receiving, distribution, or inventory management environment. Ability to accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment. Ability to verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and report discrepancies in quantities or materials. Basic computer skills and experience entering shipment, receiving, and inventory data into a computer system. Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, shipping tickets, and related documentation. Experience processing and documenting incoming and outgoing shipments. Ability to maintain accurate records and complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Dependable attendance and ability to meet established schedules and deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to following safety procedures and warehouse best practices. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Preferred 2 years of experience in a warehouse, shipping, receiving, distribution, or inventory management environment. Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems, or similar computerized inventory systems. Knowledge of inventory control and material handling practices. Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and packages weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed. Experience processing returns and coordinating shipments to vendors or manufacturers. Forklift experience and/or experience operating material handling equipment. WHY JOIN SPL?
