Warehouse Specialist

About the Role:

This role supports the construction and preparation of wooden crates, pallets, and protective packaging for domestic and export shipments, including lumber selection, rust proofing, and quality inspections. It also involves full warehouse operations such as coordinating shipments, operating material-handling equipment, maintaining inventory, and preparing shipping and inventory documentation. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the construction of boxes, skids, crates, or platforms for domestic or export shipments of equipment or machine parts
• Assist with the selection, cutting, and preparing lumber
• Perform a full range of warehousing activities to include shipping bulk, loading/unloading, receiving, and storing of materials and equipment
• Construct pallets upon need for shipment of freight. Maintain inventory of all consumables needed. 
• In partnership with Shipping Coordinator and other internal customers base, coordinate outgoing shipments and placement of materials within docking area 
• Operate warehouse vehicles and machinery to assist with transportation of equipment. (Equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts will be used according to specialized on-the job training and regulatory procedures and policies).
• Prepare inventory and production reports, screens, and identify shipping and receiving documents for discrepancies, and directs shipments to shipping or storage areas
•  Collect and organize all reference photos prior to shipping or boxing of freight
•  Perform and report the first quality inspection of all equipment prior to final inspection

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/ GED 
• Currently possess forklift certification or ability to obtain with in first 90 days of employment
• Ability to read and write English
• 1-3 years of experience in Logistics industry
