PD Systems IncWarehouse Specialist Location: Fort Riley, KS, US Regular Full-Time Essential Responsibilities: The Warehouse Specialist reports directly to the Shop Supply Lead within the Installation Materiel Maintenance Division (IMMD) and supports the Repair Parts and Materiel Management function. The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing and repair parts duties that require an understanding of the shop supply storage plan and the Army supply system. Work involves most of the following: receiving and verifying repair parts and materiel against receiving documents; noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damage; routing materiel to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materiel in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and conducting inventories of stored materiel; examining stored materiel and reporting deterioration, damage, and shelf-life expiration; and removing materiel from storage and preparing it for issue, shipment, or turn-in. The Warehouse Specialist may operate hand or power trucks and material handling equipment in performing these duties. Primary Duties: Receive, inspect, process, and store repair parts within two business days after receipt. Requisition repair parts through the Army logistics information system (GCSSArmy), load items without a National Stock Number into the LIS catalog, and process local purchase requisitions for items that cannot be obtained through the Army supply system within required repair timelines. Order repair parts using the correct priority designators and required delivery dates in accordance with DLM 4000.25 and DLM 4000.251. Review cancelled and rejected requisitions and reorder, as required, within three business days. Prepare and submit Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDR) and Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR) within three working days of identifying a supply or quality deficiency. Process timely turnin of recoverable and retrograde items in accordance with DFASIN Regulation 371, Chapter 13, and AR 7102. Manage shelflife materiel, conduct location surveys and inventories, and process materiel for disposal in accordance with AR 7102, AR 7355, and DA PAM 71021. Post all receipts, issues, and turnins accurately in the logistics information system so that parts are applied to the correct job or work order. Maintain a clean, safe, and inspectionready storage area, and operate material handling equipment within its rated capacity. Support the Shop Supply Lead and Production Control in researching part availability, tracking dueins, and notifying mechanics when parts are received. Performs all other positionrelated duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of U.S. Army supply procedures and Army logistics information systems, to include GCSSArmy. Strong customer service skills. Ability to perform various production control activities including gathering and filing records, reporting on use of materials, monitoring customer requests. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day. Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders. Must be able to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through email and various software applications. Must be able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds. Must be able to work in a shop where the environment is drafty, noisy, and dirty. May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment. Must have or be able to obtain a forklift/material handling equipment license, and a valid state driver's license if assigned parts pickup and delivery duties. Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated NACI and a Common Access Card (CAC).
