Warehouse Shipping & Receiving - Union Position

Job Overview Colonial Hardware, a leading Industrial Tool Distributor, is seeking a highly detail-oriented and reliable individual to join our warehouse team. The person selected for this position will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy of our inventory system. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all incoming shipments are inspected, documented, and located with precision. The ideal candidate is physically capable, works well within a team, and maintains a clean driving record. Key Responsibilities: Receive and unload incoming truck shipments Inspect incoming deliveries for damage, discrepancies, or missing items Verify packing slips against receiving schedules Organize inventory into designated locations Properly label items when applicable Communicate with the inventory control manager about discrepancies Maintain a clean and organized receiving area Adhere to all safety policies and procedures Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Previous warehouse receiving and delivery experience preferred Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate forklifts or pallet jacks (certification a plus) Proficient with basic computer systems and inventory software Excellent communication and teamwork skills We Offer: Competitive pay Union Shop with a benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days 401(k) available Paid time off and holidays Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $18.99 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Language: English (Preferred) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Ability to Commute: Springfield, NJ 07081 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Springfield, NJ 07081: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
