Warehouse & Shipping Coordinator
American BioSciences, Inc.American BioSciences, Inc. is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Warehouse & Shipping Coordinator to join our Nutraceuticals operations in Gonzales, California. In this hands-on role, you will handle daily receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, and domestic and international shipping, while supporting packaging activities. You will work closely with our Sales, Manufacturing, Quality Control and Customer Service teams to keep inventory accurate, orders moving on time, and the warehouse organized. Primary responsibilities Receive incoming materials and products; verify quantities, condition, and accompanying documentation, and report discrepancies. Organize raw materials, packaging components, and finished products in designated storage areas. Maintain accurate inventory records, including quantities, locations, lot numbers, and expiration dates. Rotate inventory using first-expiring, first-out procedures and maintain separation of released, on-hold, returned, and damaged goods. Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately and within required shipping deadlines. Verify product codes, lot numbers, expiration dates, labels, and quantities before shipment. Coordinate pickups with UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, and other shipping providers; work with management and carriers on international shipment requirements. Communicate inventory shortages, order discrepancies, and shipping delays promptly. Perform labeling, case packing, and palletizing; assist with bottling, sealing, and other packaging activities as scheduled and trained. Stage materials for manufacturing and packaging operations. Complete receiving, packaging, shipping, cleaning, and inventory records accurately and promptly. Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory, and investigating inventory discrepancies. Process returned goods according to written procedures. Maintain clean, orderly warehouse and packaging areas and follow storage, safety, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) procedures. Perform other related warehouse and production-support duties as needed. Qualifications At least two years of hands-on warehouse, inventory, or order-fulfillment experience, including preparing shipments and maintaining inventory records. Comfortable using computers, entering data accurately, and working with shipping software. Strong attention to detail, particularly when checking products, quantities, labels, and lot numbers. Ability to read and follow written instructions and standard operating procedures. Ability to organize daily work, meet shipping deadlines, and work independently after training. Dependable and organized. Preferred experience Experience in a dietary-supplement, food, pharmaceutical, medical-product, or other GMP-regulated environment. Experience preparing international shipments and commercial invoices. Experience with inventory-management systems, barcode scanners, or e-commerce fulfillment. Forklift or pallet-jack experience. Physical requirements The essential functions of this position include the following, with or without reasonable accommodation: Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, using appropriate assistance or equipment as needed. Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive packing and packaging tasks during the workday. Safely handle materials and work in warehouse and production areas.
