Modernist Pantry LLCWarehouse Shipping Clerk Amazon FBA Fulfillment Location: Eliot, Maine — onsite Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, typically 8 a.m.–4 p.m., with some flexibility in shift hours Pay: $18/hour Experience: No experience required. We’ll teach you everything you need to know. About This Role Modernist Pantry is hiring someone to prepare and ship our products to Amazon fulfillment centers. When someone orders one of our products on Amazon, the inventory needs to be there, correctly packaged, labeled, and ready to go. Your work makes that possible. You’ll pick products, operate packaging equipment, check quantities and labels, pack cartons, and complete the computer steps that go with each shipment. This is hands-on, repetitive work that rewards care and consistency. If you like having a clear job to do, keeping things organized, and seeing what you accomplished at the end of the day, this could be a good fit. We’re looking for someone who wants to settle into a steady job with a team they can get to know and grow with. A Place to Stay and Grow We’re a stable, growing, privately held business, and we think about employment in terms of years. Every senior person on our team has been with us for at least a decade. Our chief of staff, who runs the company day to day, started here as an intern twelve years ago. That history says something about how we work. We invest in teaching people, value the knowledge they build, and want good employees to stay. We’re loyal to people who are loyal to us. For the right person, we want this to be a dependable job and the start of a long working relationship. You’ll learn work the business relies on every day, become someone your coworkers can count on, and have the opportunity to build your skills over time. Who We’re Looking For We care more about how you work than whether you’ve done this job before. Experience in a warehouse, stockroom, production, or shipping role is helpful, but it is not required. We’ll teach you everything you need to know to do this job well. You treat coworkers with respect and contribute to a team people want to be part of. You show up reliably, follow through, and take responsibility for your work. You pay attention to details. Similar product names, quantities, and labels need a second look sometimes, and you’re willing to give them one. You’re willing to learn basic computer tasks and new software. You ask questions when something is unclear and speak up when something looks wrong. You can keep a steady pace and work independently once trained. What You’ll Do You’ll help keep our daily shipments to Amazon moving accurately and on schedule. Pick and check the products needed for each shipment. Use automatic bagging equipment to bag, seal, and label products. Check product codes, counts, and labels before sealing cartons. Create shipments and shipment paperwork in Amazon Seller Central. Record inventory transfers in our inventory management software. Flag damaged products, inventory discrepancies, and supply shortages. Keep your work area organized and stocked with packaging supplies. The daily workload typically includes more than 1,000 individual units. We’ll train you on the equipment and process so you can build proficiency while maintaining accuracy. What Doing This Job Well Looks Like The right products leave in the right quantities, with the right labels. Shipment records match what actually shipped. Problems get raised early, and the next day’s work starts from an organized workspace. Speed matters. So does catching a mistake before a carton leaves the building. The Physical Work You’ll spend most of your shift standing, with regular bending, reaching, and repetitive handling of products. You’ll occasionally need to lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Prolonged heavy lifting is not required, and we primarily use hydraulic carts to handle the lifting. W…
