Warehouse Associate – Inventory & Order Staging Full-Time | Washington, DC – Georgetown About W.T. Weaver & Sons W.T. Weaver & Sons is a family-owned luxury kitchen, bath, and architectural hardware showroom serving homeowners, designers, architects, builders, and contractors throughout the Washington, DC area. We handle primarily special-order, high-value products, making accuracy, organization, and careful material handling especially important to our operation. Key Responsibilities Inventory & Warehouse Organization Put away and organize received merchandise in designated locations. Maintain clear labeling and accurate product locations. Keep customer orders consolidated and warehouse areas organized. Assist with inventory counts and locating missing or misplaced material. Order Staging & Delivery Support Pull and stage customer orders for delivery and pickup. Verify quantities and products before material leaves the warehouse. Identify missing, damaged, or incorrect items before delivery. Assist with loading and unloading company vehicles and freight shipments. Shipping Issues & Discrepancies Investigate short shipments, incorrect products, damage, and other receiving discrepancies. Compare merchandise against purchase orders, packing slips, and system records. Photograph and document issues and communicate them to the appropriate internal team. Organize and track problem material and replacement items through resolution. Returns & RGAs Organize, label, and track merchandise awaiting return or vendor authorization. Assist with return documentation, packaging, and shipment preparation. Manage return material until it leaves the warehouse. Customer Storage Assist with managing customer material being held in the warehouse under company storage policies. Maintain accurate identification and organization of stored orders. Help monitor aging orders and material held beyond scheduled delivery dates. Assist management with periodic storage reviews and documentation. General Warehouse Support Assist with palletized, oversized, and fragile freight. Maintain clean and safe warehouse and staging areas. Serve as backup for parcel receiving and ERP receiving when needed. Support other warehouse priorities as directed by the Warehouse Lead. Qualifications 1–3 years of warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, logistics, fulfillment, or similar experience preferred. Strong organization and attention to detail. Comfortable reading purchase orders, packing slips, product labels, and shipping documents. Comfortable using computers and learning inventory/ERP systems. Experience handling building materials, plumbing fixtures, hardware, furniture, appliances, or other fragile/high-value products is a plus. Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a small team. Ability to regularly stand, bend, lift, and safely handle products approximately 50–75 lbs., with assistance or equipment for heavier items.
