Warehouse Shipper/Receiver
ConfidentialJob Summary The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of all incoming and outgoing shipments. This role ensures inventory accuracy, timely processing of orders, and compliance with company and safety standards in a warehouse or distribution environment. Key Responsibilities Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or packing slips Accurately record receipts in the inventory or warehouse management system Prepare, pack, label, and stage outgoing shipments according to customer or carrier requirements Load trucks and coordinate with carriers for timely pickups and deliveries Maintain organized receiving and shipping areas; ensure proper storage of goods Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory audits as needed Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect items Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and in accordance with certification requirements Follow all safety, quality, and company policies and procedures Perform other related duties as assigned Experience Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or other warehouse equipment is highly desirable; certification is a plus. Basic math skills are essential for counting inventory, measuring packages, and verifying quantities accurately. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and order picking processes will help ensure smooth operations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards. Strong teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in warehouse distribution environments. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics preferred Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, packing lists, and bills of lading Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse management systems preferred Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain) preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials up to 50 lbs Standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift Ability to work in varying temperatures (warehouse environment) Pay: From $15.70 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 per week Benefits: Dental care Extended health care On-site parking Store discount Vision care Work Location: In person
