Warehouse Shift Lead - Parcel Sortation (Early Morning)
ConfidentialAbout the role We're starting up a parcel sortation operation and need two Shift Leads to run the floor, one for each crew. Each lead runs a crew of about 5 associates scanning and sorting parcels onto carts so outbound trucks leave on time. Volume starts around 600 to 700 packages a day and will grow. Schedule - 4:30 AM start, shifts up to 10 hours (4:30 AM to 2:30 PM). Some days finish early. - Rotating schedule: one week Mon to Thu, the next week Fri to Sun. Every other weekend off, never over 40 hours. What you'll do - Run shift start-up, assign positions and keep the sort moving - Make sure parcels are scanned and sorted to the right carts and trucks leave on time - Train new associates and keep the crew on standard - Track attendance, counts and issues, and report them to management - Work hands-on alongside the crew when needed What we're looking for - 1+ year as a lead or supervisor in a warehouse, distribution or parcel environment - Reliable for a 4:30 AM start, every scheduled day. Trucks don't wait. - Comfortable with handheld scanners and basic counts or reporting - Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stay on your feet for the shift - Clear communicator who can keep a small crew focused - Plus: parcel sort experience (UPS, FedEx, Amazon or similar), forklift experience Pay: $20 to $25 per hour to start Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week Work Location: In person
