Overview We are seeking a dynamic Warehouse Receiving Manager to lead our receiving operations within a fast-paced distribution environment. This role is vital in ensuring efficient inbound logistics, accurate inventory control, and seamless coordination of warehouse activities. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of warehouse receiving operations, including inbound shipments, unloading, and material handling. Manage and coordinate team members responsible for receiving, inventory management, and material handling equipment operation. Implement process improvements to optimize warehouse distribution workflows and reduce errors. Ensure compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA standards while operating forklifts and heavy lifting equipment. Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software; utilize RF scanners for tracking shipments. Collaborate with logistics teams and 3PL providers to streamline distribution center operations and shipping & receiving processes. Lead team management efforts by providing clear managerial communication, training, and performance feedback to foster a motivated workforce. Skills Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, and inventory control systems. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, Microsoft Office suite, and RF scanners. Strong leadership skills with proven team management and team leadership abilities in a warehouse supervisor role. Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as lean management to enhance operational efficiency. Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts safely; certification preferred. Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations and materials handling safety standards. Excellent managerial communication skills capable of guiding teams through complex tasks while maintaining high safety standards.
