Warehouse Receiving Clerk

Sylvan Lake Home Hardware is looking for a responsible Warehouse Receiving clerk to receive, inspect and record shipments of materials and products. You will be responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the orders. Provide customers with accurate account balance statements in a timely manner. Prepare monthly statements and mail them to charge customers by the end of each month. Include advertising and/or informational inserts with statements when required. Monitor accounts and submit reports to the Dealer-Owner(s) and/or management Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt Unload packages from incoming trucks Inspect contents to ensure they are not damaged Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.) Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place Ensure invoices are signed and paid for Requirements and skills Proven experience as a receiving clerk or similar position Experience in operating forklifts Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data Solid understanding of health and safety regulations Excellent organizational skills Great communication and interpersonal skills Detail orientated High school diploma Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care Disability insurance Employee assistance program Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Vision care Experience: Forklift: 1 year (preferred) Shipping & receiving: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person
