About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. Role Overview:

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor / Supply Chain Superintendent, the Warehouse Technician – Receiving is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations with a primary focus on inbound material processing and Goods Receipt (GR) transactions in SAP. This role ensures that all incoming materials are accurately received, verified, and recorded in the ERP system in a timely manner to support inventory accuracy and financial integrity.

The position plays a critical role in maintaining alignment between physical inventory and system records, supporting procurement, accounts payable, and operational continuity. The Warehouse Technician is responsible for validating purchase order details, applying appropriate SAP movement types, resolving discrepancies prior to posting, and maintaining accurate supporting documentation for audit and control purposes.

This role requires close coordination with Procurement, Accounts Payable, operations, and quality stakeholders to ensure that inbound materials are processed accurately and efficiently. The position also supports cycle counts, physical inventory audits, safe material handling, and general warehouse compliance while maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping documentation.
  • Inspect inbound materials for quantity, accuracy, and visible damage, and report discrepancies, shortages, or damages to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate unloading, staging, storage, labeling, and bin or location assignment of received goods within the warehouse.
  • Create and post Goods Receipts (GRs) in SAP for inbound materials, ensuring transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Validate purchase order details including material numbers, quantities, units of measure, and apply the appropriate SAP movement types such as 101, 103, and 105.
  • Resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies prior to GR posting in coordination with Procurement, Finance, and Accounts Payable to support 3-way match requirements.
  • Maintain accurate alignment between system inventory and physical inventory, and investigate discrepancies related to receiving activities.
  • Support cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and reconciliation activities to improve inventory accuracy and variance reduction.
  • Maintain organized receiving documentation including packing slips, bills of lading, receiving logs, and archived supporting records for traceability and compliance.
  • Liaise with Procurement, Quality, operations, and other internal stakeholders to communicate receiving status, supplier issues, and non-conforming material concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, use required PPE, and follow all company health, safety, regulatory, and audit requirements.
  • Participate in cross-training and support general warehouse coverage to maintain operational continuity.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business is an asset.
  • 1–3 years of warehouse or receiving experience preferred, ideally within an industrial or mining environment.
  • Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system is required; SAP MM module experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in SAP Goods Receipt processing, purchase order matching, and inventory transactions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Outlook; familiarity with warehouse scanning systems and RF devices is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy, with effective time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills with a strong sense of accountability and ownership of responsibilities.

  • Pay or shift range: $47,250 and $84,850 CAD

This is an existing vacancy. The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
