We are looking for a full-time Warehouse Receiver to join our team.
Applicants must be permanent residents of Canada or have extended work permits and they must reside in the Lower Mainland.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, and other shipping documents manually or by computer
• Assemble containers, pallets, and crates, record contents manually or by computer, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
• Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages
• Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
• Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems
• Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods
• Clean and maintain work area
Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year experience in shipping
• Minimum high school diploma
• Team Player
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with repetition
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, basic math skills
• Current forklift certificate – sit-down electric
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate
• Computer proficient with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to make repetitive movements including bending or squatting
• Flexible with work hours when needed
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: From $24.50 per hour
