Warehouse Quality Inspector
Reile's Transfer & Delivery, Inc.Full-time · M-F, day hours (somewhat flexible) · $21–$24 per hour, depending on experience Reile's has been family-owned and operating in Fargo since 1954. We run multiple locations here, and we're hiring a Warehouse Quality Inspector. This is the job where somebody has to actually look. Customers store their product with us and rely on our inspection records to know what condition it's in — which means those records have to be right. You'll work from written procedures, check inbound and outbound product against them, document what you find, and hold anything that doesn't meet the standard. One thing worth saying up front : this work is methodical, it's repetitive, and about half of it is documentation. If that sounds tedious, it's honestly not the right fit. But if you're someone who takes a little satisfaction in doing a job carefully and the same way every time — and who'd rather fill the form out properly than get through it fast — you'll do well here, and you'll be good at something most people aren't. What you'll do – Inspect inbound and outbound product to confirm it's in satisfactory condition – Work from the written procedure for each product and account — every step, on every unit – Break down, examine and restack product the way the procedure calls for – Tag and hold anything that doesn't meet requirements, and keep it separated from released product – Photograph and document what you find – Record a result for every unit you handle — nothing leaves the inspection area without one – Keep product tags and traceability intact as product is handled – Let your supervisor know about findings the same shift – Take on new inspection types as we add them What you need – The ability to follow a detailed written procedure exactly, over and over, without someone standing over you – Real attention to detail, and the patience for methodical work – Comfort with paperwork — forms, checklists and basic spreadsheets are a daily part of this job – Dependable attendance; product waits on this position – Willingness to speak up when you find something, even when it slows the day down – High school diploma or GED Helpful, but we'll train – Warehouse, distribution or food-grade storage experience – Any quality or inspection experience — manufacturing, food, agriculture or transportation – Experience with RF scanners or warehouse systems How we treat findings When you find a problem, that's the job working the way it's supposed to. Nobody here gets criticized for finding something, or for taking the time to be sure. If you're not certain, you hold it and we sort it out together. We'd rather you stop the line than guess. Physical requirements and work environment With or without reasonable accommodation: frequently lift, move and restack product weighing up to 50 lbs through the shift; stand, walk, bend, kneel and reach for the full shift; hold close visual concentration for long stretches; and work in a warehouse that runs warm in summer and cold in winter. Steel-toe boots are required. Where you'll work We operate several facilities in Fargo. Tell us where you're commuting from, and we'll talk about which site fits best. Pay and schedule – $21–$24 per hour, depending on experience – M-F, day hours (somewhat flexible) – Hourly and overtime-eligible; overtime is paid after 40 hours in a week – Benefits: medical, dental and vision insurance (after 60 days); group life insurance ($10,000 basic term + AD&D, after 60 days); 401(k) (after 1,000 hours, age 21+); flexible spending account; paid time off accruing monthly; paid holidays; workers' compensation Before you start A drug screen and a criminal background check are required. A record does not automatically disqualify you — we consider each situation individually, and people with a crim…
