Hire Yourself KarachiRole Description The Warehouse Process Engineer / Fulfillment Systems Analyst / Material Handling Specialist designs, analyses, and improves warehouse, fulfilment, and material-handling processes to increase productivity, accuracy, safety, and service performance. This role combines operational knowledge with systems and engineering expertise to ensure that goods move efficiently from receiving through storage, picking, packing, shipping, and returns. The position works closely with warehouse operations, supply-chain planning, IT, automation teams, transport providers, procurement, maintenance, and third-party logistics partners. Responsibilities include mapping workflows, analysing capacity and labour requirements, configuring or improving warehouse systems, supporting equipment implementation, monitoring process performance, and resolving operational bottlenecks. The role may also support layout design, slotting, inventory accuracy, scanning processes, automation projects, and material-flow optimisation. The role uses operational data and continuous-improvement methods to recommend practical changes that reduce costs, improve turnaround times, strengthen order accuracy, and enhance safety. It supports testing, process documentation, training, change management, and performance reporting, while ensuring that warehouse systems and procedures align with business requirements, customer service expectations, and health-and-safety standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience in warehouse operations, fulfilment, logistics engineering, process improvement, material handling, supply-chain systems, or a related role. Strong understanding of warehouse processes, including receiving, put-away, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and inventory control. Experience analysing warehouse workflows, material flow, labour productivity, space utilisation, throughput, order accuracy, and operational bottlenecks. Familiarity with warehouse-management systems, ERP platforms, barcode scanning, radio-frequency devices, inventory systems, and fulfilment technologies. Experience supporting WMS configuration, testing, implementation, user acceptance testing, system integration, or process-change projects is advantageous. Knowledge of material-handling equipment and automation, including conveyors, sortation systems, racking, forklifts, automated storage systems, robotics, or goods-to-person solutions. Ability to develop process maps, standard operating procedures, work instructions, layouts, capacity models, and operational performance reports. Experience using continuous-improvement approaches such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, root-cause analysis, value-stream mapping, or 5S. Strong data-analysis skills and proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or warehouse analytics tools is an advantage. Ability to define and monitor key performance indicators, including productivity, cycle time, fill rate, on-time shipment, inventory accuracy, cost per order, and safety metrics. Understanding of warehouse safety, ergonomics, equipment compliance, risk assessment, and safe material-handling practices. Experience working with cross-functional teams, third-party logistics providers, equipment vendors, IT teams, and operational stakeholders. Strong problem-solving, project-coordination, communication, stakeholder-management, and attention-to-detail skills. Relevant qualifications or certifications in Lean Six Sigma, supply chain, warehouse systems, logistics, or project management are an advantage.
