Warehouse Picking Supervisor

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Picking Supervisor to lead our warehouse operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, the Picking Supervisor is responsible for auditing outbound picking activity, enforcing standard operating procedures, resolving inventory discrepancies at the source, and preventing compliance-related misship fines. This role acts as the quality checkpoint between picking and shipping, ensuring processes are followed consistently across all shifts — and allows the Operations Manager to stay focused on the full operation rather than one functional area. Key Responsibilities ● Conduct daily pick audits across assigned outbound areas, verifying accuracy against orders and SOPs ● Monitor real-time picking activity for process adherence (scan compliance, pick sequencing, put-wall/slotting procedures, etc.) ● Identify and document root causes of pick errors (training, process, system, or equipment related) ● Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies traced to picking activity, coordinating with inventory control on adjustments and corrective action ● Audit orders against customer-specific compliance requirements (labeling, routing guides, packaging standards) to prevent fines and chargebacks before shipment ● Coach associates on proper picking technique and corrective actions in the moment ● Partner with outbound leads/supervisors to close performance gaps without duplicating their labor-management responsibilities ● Track and report pick accuracy, inventory discrepancy, and misship/fine metrics; flag trends to management ● Support onboarding/training of new pickers on SOPs and account-specific compliance requirements ● Escalate systemic issues (mislabeled locations, inventory discrepancies, WMS errors) to the appropriate team Qualifications ● 2+ years of warehouse/distribution experience, ideally in a picking or quality-focused role ● Working knowledge of WMS systems and pick methodologies (batch, zone, wave, etc.) ● Experience with inventory reconciliation/cycle count processes a plus ● Familiarity with customer compliance/routing guide requirements a plus ● Strong attention to detail and comfort with data/metrics tracking ● Ability to coach and correct without direct disciplinary authority (influence-based leadership) Join our team as a Warehouse Picking Supervisor if you’re passionate about leading operational excellence in a vibrant warehouse setting!
