Overview Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Picker/Packer and become a vital part of our fast-paced distribution operation! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing products for shipment, ensuring that every order is fulfilled with precision and care. Duties Efficiently pick items from designated storage locations using order pickers, RF scanners, barcode scanning for logistics, and manual handling techniques. Safely operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load and unload shipments or move inventory within the warehouse. Pack products securely using appropriate packaging materials while adhering to quality control standards to prevent damage during transit. Load and unload incoming shipments and organize stock in designated areas to optimize warehouse distribution flow. Maintain accurate inventory records through the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems; conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies. Follow safety protocols diligently by utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE), practicing manual handling techniques correctly, and adhering to safety procedures during all warehouse operations. Assist with shipping & receiving activities by preparing orders for dispatch, verifying shipment accuracy, and updating order fulfillment status promptly. Skills Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, RF scanners, barcode scanning for logistics, and shipping & receiving procedures. Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Familiarity with warehouse operations including order picking & packing, stocking, quality control checks, and load & unload processes. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing. Prior experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus but not required; a strong understanding of safety protocols is essential.
