Warehouse Packing Associate

About the role We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Packaging Associate to join our team. This hands-on position is responsible for preparing, packaging, and securing equipment and materials for shipment. Responsibilities include packing small parcel orders, preparing larger equipment for freight transportation, assembling crates and pallets, and ensuring items are properly protected during transit. Orders are picked and processed by other team members. The primary focus of this role is to ensure all materials are properly prepared, packaged, labeled, and staged for carrier pickup. The position also supports general warehouse operations, including maintaining a clean and organized work environment and assisting with loading and unloading deliveries. Schedule flexibility is required. Depending on workload and carrier pickup schedules, occasional overtime or adjustments to start and end times may be necessary. What you'll do Packaging & Order Preparation Prep and pack staged items into the right size box with proper cushioning and void fill Check that items match the packing slip before sealing the box Seal, tape, and apply the shipping labels and paperwork provided Stage packed boxes for daily UPS pickup Freight and crated orders Pack equipment and parts into crates, boxes, and onto skids or pallets Build, assemble, or reinforce crates and skids as needed Brace, block, and pad large or fragile items so they do not shift in transit Stack, band, strap, and stretch wrap pallets for freight carriers Mark and label crates and pallets with the provided shipping information Help load freight onto carrier trucks Warehouse Prep Clean, wipe down, and prep inventory items so they are ready to ship Remove old labels, tape, or residue and repackage items as needed Inspect items for damage before packing and report any problems to your supervisor Keep the packing area clean, organized, and stocked with boxes, wrap, and supplies Break down and recycle cardboard and packing waste Help receive and unload incoming deliveries when needed Follow safety procedures for lifting, pallet jacks, and tools What we're looking for Required 1+ year of packing, shipping, or warehouse experience Careful with details: right items, right box, right label Able to follow written and verbal packing instructions Reliable, on time, and able to work independently Nice to have Experience building crates or skids with hand and power tools (drill, nail gun, saw) Experience palletizing, banding, and stretch wrapping freight Pallet jack or forklift experience (forklift certification a plus) Physical requirements Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, and heavier items with help or equipment Stand, walk, bend, and reach for most of the shift Wear safety gear such as gloves, safety glasses, and safety-toe shoes when needed Work in a warehouse that may be warm or cold depending on the season Pay: $18.54 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Retirement plan Vision insurance Application Question(s): Do you have your own means of transportation?
