Warehouse Package Handler

Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Package Handler to join our team. This is an entry-level warehouse position focused on handling, sorting, organizing, and preparing packages for shipment. The Package Handler helps keep packages moving through the warehouse efficiently. Daily work may include receiving packages, sorting shipments, moving boxes to designated areas, loading and unloading deliveries, preparing packages for shipment, and keeping the warehouse work area organized. No previous warehouse, package handling, shipping, or logistics experience is required. Full training will be provided. This position is open to people who are new to the workforce, changing careers, returning to work, or looking for an opportunity to build practical warehouse experience. Responsibilities Receive and handle incoming packages and shipments Sort packages according to labels, destinations, orders, or work instructions Move packages and boxes to designated warehouse areas Load and unload packages from trucks and delivery vehicles Prepare packages for shipment, pickup, or delivery Place packages on designated carts, pallets, shelves, or work areas Check package labels and basic shipment information Organize packages to help maintain an orderly workflow Handle packages carefully to help prevent damage Identify damaged or incorrectly labeled packages and report them to a supervisor Help prepare outgoing shipments for pickup Assist with receiving and organizing incoming deliveries Move materials and packages safely throughout the warehouse Keep package handling, loading, and work areas clean and organized Help maintain an organized warehouse and designated storage areas Follow basic package handling, warehouse, and workplace safety procedures Work with coworkers and supervisors to complete daily shipping and receiving tasks Follow simple written and verbal instructions Ask questions when a task or instruction is unclear Complete other general warehouse and package handling duties as assigned Skills Reliable and dependable Punctual and able to follow a regular work schedule Willingness to learn new tasks and procedures Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Good attention to detail when sorting and handling packages Basic communication skills Positive and cooperative attitude Ability to work well with coworkers and supervisors Organized and able to stay focused on routine tasks Willingness to follow workplace safety procedures Comfortable performing repetitive warehouse tasks Comfortable handling packages and working in an active warehouse environment Ability to ask for help when needed Ability to work independently after training No previous warehouse or package handling experience required All necessary job training will be provided Training Full training will be provided to help new employees learn package handling, package sorting, loading and unloading, shipment preparation, warehouse organization, and workplace safety procedures .
