Warehouse Order Selector / Order Picker – Full-Time (Detroit Metro Surrounding Area)

Job Overview Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Full-Time Warehouse Order Selector / Order Picker in the Detroit Metro Surrounding Area! You will play a vital part in ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and ready for shipment, all while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Responsibilities Efficiently select and pick customer orders, use warehouse management systems to ensure accuracy and speed. Operate heavy equipment such as pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively. Conduct quality control checks on picked items to ensure order accuracy before packing. Pack items securely for delivery, utilizing proper packaging techniques to prevent damage during transit. Follow safety procedures consistently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to promote a safe working environment. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers with familiarity in order picking, packing, shipping & receiving, and inventory management systems. Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanning devices confidently. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely throughout the shift. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately. Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety standards. Prior experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or barcode scanning for logistics is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory control. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Ability to work in a range of temperature environments.
