Warehouse Order Picking Supervisor
Green Forest Wood Products, LLCGreen Forest Cabinetry is looking for a dependable, positive team leader to oversee our order picking and replenishment team. This is a hands-on leadership position: you will organize the team’s daily work while picking orders and putting materials away in warehouse racks alongside them. Each morning, you will review the day’s paperwork, meet with our Operations Manager to confirm priorities and any special projects, and bring the team together to explain assignments. Throughout the day, you will keep things moving, support your team, and communicate progress or any issues to the Operations Manager. A positive attitude is the most important quality we are looking for. We are looking for someone who communicates clearly, treats people with respect, and leads by example. Warehouse experience and prior management experience are helpful, but neither are required. If you have the ability to lead a team and a willingness to learn, we will provide paid, hands-on training. Bilingual English and Spanish communication is preferred, but not required. This position is located at 723 Fenway Ave, Chesapeake, in the Deep Creek area of Chesapeake. Benefits Include: Health, Dental, Vision, and Retirement Benefits Consistent & Competitive Hourly Pay Consistent Overtime Opportunities, Paid at Time and a Half Opportunities to grow your leadership skills and advance within our warehouse operations Paid, hands-on training and warehouse equipment training opportunities Responsibilities include: Reviewing daily order picking paperwork and confirming priorities with the Operations Manager Leading team meetings every morning, assigning tasks, and clearly explaining daily goals Working alongside the team to pick orders accurately and put materials away in the correct locations Operating a cherry picker and other warehouse equipment after completing company training Checking team progress throughout the day and adjusting assignments as priorities change Coaching team members, answering questions, and keeping the team motivated and accountable Communicating shortages, misplaced materials, delays, and other issues to the Operations Manager Keeping paperwork accurate and communicating completed work and remaining tasks Helping maintain organized storage locations, clear aisles, and a clean, safe work environment Following safety procedures and ensuring team members do the same What We Are Looking For A positive attitude — our most important qualification Clear communication and listening skills — Being a TEAM PLAYER is a must!
