Warehouse Order Picker

Job Overview As a Warehouse Order Picker, you’ll keep warehouse operations moving by accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. You’ll use an order picker, reach truck, forklift, pallet jack, or cherry picker as appropriate, along with a radio-frequency (RF) scanner and warehouse management system (WMS). This active role involves materials handling, manual handling, and heavy lifting, with personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety protocols guiding every task. Responsibilities Pick items against order details; scan barcodes, verify quantities, and complete basic math checks. Pack and label orders, maintain quality control, and stage shipments for warehouse distribution. Load and unload deliveries, support shipping and receiving, and stock products in assigned locations. Use material handling equipment safely and follow equipment procedures and site safety protocols. Update inventory management systems, report discrepancies, and keep work areas organized. Experience Warehouse experience in order fulfillment, order picking, picking and packing, packaging, stocking, or inventory management is helpful. Familiarity with warehouse management systems, inventory management systems, RF scanners, and barcode scanning for logistics is preferred. Experience operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, order pickers, or cherry pickers, is an asset. Ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting safely, use PPE, and follow safety procedures is required. Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus, but not required.
